i tend to flag posts about this topic on my dreamwidth as "mature" primarily because i believe other people expect it of me, but in my experience not all kink is sexual and, in turn, some things about kink i may talk about or posts i quote in my own posts are not inherently sexual in nature.
some people just enjoy being tied up as a form of platonic closeness with another person. some people have sensory disorders (like me!) and find kink is one of the things that meets them. some people are just fascinated by certain things, either in a sexual or nonsexual way, or both! learn to appreciate the vastness of the human experience.
