2024
- - only now noticed i forgot to make the animated .gif icons used in my journal accessible... went back through all my entries and replaced all plain .gif
imgelements with animation settings detectingpictureelements. - - ultra finally both finished the rewrite of the journal layout and also converted all non-locked entries to my new layout. that took several straight days of work, though i'd be lying if i said i didn't enjoy doing it...
- - finally gave the changelog a proper navigation, because adding the new year to each page was really starting to get old. don't ask me why it took me this long. you know why. (it's the executive dysfunction brain hell combined with the Ultra Depression™ lol)
- - added illustrations to each section of my navigation. fuck, man. this year has been so horrible already lol 🫠
2023
- - forgot to record when i finished changing my headers back to the traditional "only one
h1per page" style... it was earlier this week. whatever. today the site background was successfully converted to respectprefers-reduced-motionsettings, with the default being to use static images and only to use animated ones if no animation preference is selected (i implemented the conditionals this way because a "no preference" setting when used like this will only evaluate to true if the browser supports animation preference detection and also does not detect a preference. if the browser is too old to detect animation preference or a preference is selected to prefer reduced motion, static images will be served. this way even people on older browsers will be served a version of the site without stuff that moves.) going to work on getting the header backgrounds and footer images static now, then move on to individual pages like finishing the music player's reduced motion version... - - finally this shit is officially finished. reuploading everything to both neocities and dreamhost, though without sandboxing on the iframes since i guess neocities has more permissive default settings than dreamhost for iframes... it barely matters i guess, it's a static site again and the security headers should do the same job anyway.
- - because i am fucking neurotic and never feel stable which leads me to need to have a site that's supported even on free webhosts... i have begun re-converting my site to plain html with iframes for includes. (barf.) however i have also spent the last week redoing the layout entirely from scratch and like it so much better than my current/old layout... i am choosing to think of it as my site's 5 year anniversary facelift.
- - added new image borders to some profile pages.
- - keep forgetting to add my updates to this page... added more header art. also added more song pages on my OC silver's playlist a few days ago.
- - switched the link filter from javascript to css, but now it doesn't work and i can't figure out why. successfully split up the header into more parts so i can add css files meant for individual pages more easily.
- - elaborated on the template for music playlist files. added some pages with lyrics and character relevant info to go with the songs to begin the transition of the song playlist to its full purpose.
- - test journal conversion completed and new journal post template and styles working. will convert older pages later...
- - mostly finished converting all the main pages to php. non-blank index file added to the main site. we're officially online again!
- - found a way to fix the old cursor effect i like better than the one i was using, so i added that one now. converted more of my site files to php.
- - begun the transition of all pages to php and getting them uploaded to the new host. god i missed server-side includes... look at all that beautiful lack of disgusting frames and javascript loading my layout.
2022
- - paid webhost space registered. site will begin migration to new paid host and be converted to php. neocities presence and subscription will be maintained as long as possible because i love neocities

unreadablefont for the title bar implemented. logo now glitters and rotates on hover. - - navigation sidebars, archive page, and placeholder tags page added to my journal.

- - tried my hand at making my own cursors and have never been satisfied with the results, so the main cursor has been replaced with a DDR arrow which both looks much better (to me) and showcases my eternal and undying love for DDR. will add the alias and help cursor versions later when i don't have to leave the house.
- - added the base for the header art to the headers.
- - forgetting this exists again... added a journal at some point, a page for characters i like a Normal Amount, and some unicorns to the header (for desktop view, anyway). yay for winged unicorns!
- - finished a "no javascript" fallback layout for the
ungrateful bastardspeople who browse without javascript. just gotta add it to all thirty thousand pages now... - - transitioned (lmao) all my pride flag dropdowns to the
<details>element. also finally figured out how to fix the god damn problem i was having with the down caret designating the dropdowns inheriting the rainbow text color and looking weird because of that. - - added more interests to my interests page.
- - moved some of the main page text to the about site page to reduce page clutter.
- - happy pride month motherfuckers. removed all links to and mentions of duckduckgo in my internet privacy-oriented site sections as they have unfortunately confirmed themselves to be Brave 2.0 in keeping a public face of "privacy first!" while doing fucked up shady shit with peoples' data when they think they can't be caught. fuck 'em. they too will be razed to the ground when the revolution comes along with Brave.
- - added more background art (finally) as well as a prototype cursor.
- - keep forgetting to use this... transitioned all hover-based dropdown menus to the
<details>element for better semantics and accessibility. (making accessible dropdown hover menus is a pain in the ass, kids! don't try it unless you want to suffer!) this does mean they no longer work on hover, but open and close when interacted with. i may like that better actually...
2021
- - added starburst click effect.
- - began adding further compatibility with
XML. changed javascript polyfill for the<details>element to one that actually works, now that i can test my site in IE. also changed the layout of the header and the entire site (which i did earlier in September but forgot to add here...) - - added a personal playlist for myself.
- - finally finished the "about this site" and "site map" pages.
- - keep forgetting this page exists... started to add a Content Security Policy metatag to all pages for improved security. also because i just want to.
- - changed site rating from NC-17 to MA as i forgot until now i don't think neocities allows actual nsfw art pics on it, so i won't be uploading my art here. (which is fine, just changes my plans.) i also figured out a non-js way to change the site rating on a per-page basis as i have a few unlisted pages that can't be reached without me giving out the link, but are still not for minors. also... just a pain in the ass to have to warn on every other profile i have for my site being 18+. and since i guess the whole site has no reason to be that anymore... time for a change.

- - added some fun new text shadow effects on some headers. modified various misc pages.
- - added personality page for my namesake OC. modified the content of some other character pages slightly.
- - keep forgetting this exists... added "my interests" page and finished basic layout for "my original characters" page.
- - replaced generic elements with semantic html5 elements.
- - still forgetting this page exists... svg favicon added, fifth background image added. groundwork laid out for switching gallery art and profile cards to a grid layout with flexbox fallback.
- - more background images added. groundwork for multiple favicons also added.
- - finally found a goddamn dynamic javascript loader that actually works. replaced main javascript file with the loader.
- - preliminary adding of additional background image prototype for testing purposes. will probably leave it there until it's replaced with the finished version because i'm lazy. also replaced first background image with a visually identical but much smaller file-size version (16-bit channel color converted to 8-bit channel color).
- - added a new background image alongside the old ones. more to come.
2019
- - 'recommended artists' page added, art resources page re-added. fixed some minor card template issues.
- - profile card template made and cards added to various character pages. decided to stop supporting old browsers, so all polyfills and similar things have been removed.
- - remembered i have a changelog... added a site rating page, and rating button to the bottom of all pages.
- - "about me" page has been redone completely.
- - added some pages, both real and placeholder. also in the process of adding a focus-within polyfill for all pages, as focus-within is pretty vital for some ways of browsing my site (and is just a great feature in general!)
- - minor edits to many pages.
- - added several links to the links page.
- - readded google fonts as locally hosted fonts, now that i was able to get that to actually work. minor edits to some pages.
- - removed all google fonts from the site, as they can apparently be used to track your site in some way by google which i dislike (and take forever to download on older devices anyway)
- - extended screen reader support to all hover events by replacing display changes with absolute positioning.
- - added use of the @supports feature query to improve rendering in older browsers by making fancier styles conditional.
- - added a link to a guestbook / feedback form / whatever you wanna call it.
- - finished adding tabbed browsing features; removed classes from all affected tags for cleaner html.
